Tragedy
Hi, my name is John Beckett, and I’d like to ask you if you’re going through some kind of tragedy or painful situation right now. I recall the time when I was early in my business career - I got a call from our local police department saying that my dad, with whom I was working, had been found slumped over the steering wheel of his car. He was actually driving to work - tremendous set back for me. And then, just a few months later, I got word that our plant had caught on fire, just about burned to the ground. These were overwhelming setbacks for me, and, yeah, there was triumph that came out of the tragedy. There was a silver lining in that it brought me to the end of myself and brought me closer to the God that I really desired to serve. So I ask you - in the situation that you’re facing, do you view it as a brick wall/barrier you just can’t get through? Or is it a pathway to some new discovery, some new revelation that can change your life the way it changed mine?
