Hi, I’m John Beckett, and I’m glad God brought you here. For me, life has been a mix of success and failure, pain and triumph. Looking back, I can see God at work in every situation. My life is a living testimony of his grace and goodness and it is my privilege to share with you what I’ve learned. My prayer is that you will discover God through my story and consider following him yourself.

July 4, 1938

I am born in a small town in the Midwest region of the United States.
1956

I follow my father into engineering by attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
1956-1960

I begin wondering if I can truly know God.
August 1, 1957

I meet Wendy and her loving family.
June 1960

I graduate from MIT.
1960

I start as an engineer in the aerospace industry in my hometown.
August 26, 1961

I marry Wendy, the love of my life.
December 7, 1963

I change careers to work in the family business.
February 6, 1965

My father, Reg Beckett, passes away.
February 1965

I become the president of the family business.
August 1965

Our company's manufacturing plant catches fire.
1965-1967

I go through a crisis of faith — what do I believe?
December 1967

I fully yield myself to Jesus Christ.
1968

I begin studying the Bible seriously; I reach out to help others discover Christ.
November 1973

I help form a national prayer ministry.
Sept. 5, 1995

ABC News interviews me about faith and work.
1998

I write a book about faith and work called 'Loving Monday.'
2006

I write a second book, 'Mastering Monday.'
2006

We establish 'Life's Greatest Question,' a website for people seeking Christ.
2015

We change 'Life's Greatest Question' brand to 'Can I Know God?'
