Is God Good?

Hi, this is John Beckett. A question people are asking is, "Is God good?" Well, I can emphatically answer that, "Yes." The God of the Bible is a good God. Now, perhaps it gets confusing when difficult things happen. Suppose that we lose a loved one, or we are facing a job loss or a serious illness. In the midst of that situation, we can wonder, is the God that we're trying to serve a good God? Well, the reality is that He is working through that difficult situation to accomplish His purposes. And at the time, it may seem harsh, it may seem difficult. But as we look back, we'll see that He is weaving a pattern in our lives that is for our benefit and for our good. God isn't capable of evil. God is a good God, and we can absolutely trust Him, even in the midst of difficult situations.
